Every Tree Needs A Skirt

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE

Two years ago, Ben and I took our first paper piecing quilt class.  We both love the looks that can be accomplished through paper piecing; points are so sharp and seams line up so nicely.  Last year we saw a few patterns for Christmas tree skirts that we liked and decided that we would make one this year.  During the late summer, we drove out to Philomath Oregon to visit the ladies at JanniLou Creations, a quilt shop that specializes in Judy Niemeyer paper piece quilt patterns and we bought one we loved and some batik fabrics we thought would compliment our tree.

I am happy to say that it is completed and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.  There was a lot of time put into this skirt and it looks great with our tree.  I have to say a big THANK YOU to Susan Miner for her wonderful quilting (check her out at Trendy Threads.)

I put all my faith into her and I was knocked off my feet with her talent.  The quilting really brought out the different sections of the quilt and I love what she did with every section.  I can't say enough good things about her and I think I hugged her 5 times when I saw what she did.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday!!!
